DIY Neon Garland
Can't believe that my little man is almost a year old! Whew time sure flies! But then it doesn't But then it does... know what I mean? Nights are long, days are short. You know, things like that. Anywhos. I'm getting in gear to partay. Heeeey. But I gotta keep this party on a budget, man. A strictly diy kind of event. Those are the best anyways. A little crooked, a little wonky, but perfectly mushy gushy sentimental. You can't have a party with out a string of garland or two. I was in Lowe's th... Continue reading ...
DIY Lighted Letters Sign
Lighted signs or aka Marquee signs are all the rage now. Well at least on pinterest and craft sites. Here, let's take a moment to look at some eye candy Via Etsy (Gorge!) Via Etsy (Almost a GRAND for this one!!!) Via Etsy (Really? One letter for $215? Hummmm I love it but that is pretty rich, which I'm not) Most of the DIY versions are overly involved cutting, gluing, drilling, sawing, spinning, crocheting, magical potions.... ok, maybe not those last three. But in general all the diy versions ... Continue reading ...
DIY Watercolor Spritzed Envelopes
Not much is better than receiving a pretty personal piece of mail (say that five times fast!). You know what I mean. Like when you were seven, ripping open the birthday card from dear ol granny. Or like the time you tenderly peeled back the edge to see the beautiful wedding invite from your best friend. Or like when you gingerly open one of the numerous holiday cards, to be greeted by smiling faces and a drooling tongue (of your friend's dog... not their kid... hopefully).
Why not make ... Continue reading ...

So of course this year is no exception when it came down to wrapping and mailing out some Christmas presents. DIY Paper Plate Flowers
So we are in the middle of a room shuffle. My office is becoming the shared kids room and Lou's old room is becoming my office. This makes the most sense because my old office space is HUGE, just perfect for two little bodies to crawl around in and it seemed selfish of me to horde all that space for myself. So.... right now I am up to my eyeballs in boxes to donate, papers to file, clothes to sort ect ect ect. All the 'fun' stuff. Fun Fun Fun. So of course during nap time I neglected the orga... Hallowen Party Success!
My little muscle man was pooped out before the party even started! Well, the party went off with out a hitch. It was a blast! The kiddos bounced to their little hearts content, decorated dozens of mini pumpkins and ate their weight in candy. I made waaaaay to much food, but hey, leftovers are the best right? And I may have gone overboard with the decorations. Just a little. A smidgen. My only regret is that I wish I took more pics. You all know how it gets before a party. The running around wit... Hot Air Balloon Paper Lantern
Hot Air Balloon Paper Lantern
My baby boy is almost here! I am so excited to meet him and frankly I am sooooo over being pregnant. We plan on having Lou and the baby share a room while they are little and I currently love how Lou's room is decorated but fact is... it is a little girly. I want to stay far away from the split up 'boy side & 'girl side' feeling that many shared gender rooms have, but I do need to add a few more neutral or 'boy' features to the room. With that being said I came ... Continue reading ...
