 Here is my tweak on a crazy popular hairstyle right now, the braided headband. Nothing really that crazy, I just threw in a couple of fishtail braids. I think I actually prefer a fishtail now. This really is the easiest & tastiest guacamole recipe. Get yourself some (American grown!!!!) ripe avocados, slice them in half, scoop out with a table spoon, add two heaping dollops of Mexican salsa, sprinkle salt/garlic salt to taste and smush/chop it all together with two large forks. My kitchen garden is coming together quite nicely. Ye-Haw!  Wish I had more pics of this sucker... but trust me it went FAST! This delish pie is composed of a super scrumptious sweet potato pie with a bacon and blue cheese lattice. Looks and sound complicated but it really is not. This is THE dish you want to bring to any holiday potluck. Here we go... Ingredients:

I love scarves and wear them any chance I can. As soon as there is the slightest crisp to the air I am wrapping that sucker around my neck. Here is my dilemma. I have long hair and if I wear a scarf, especially if it is a chunky knit, my hair soon turns into a tangled mess. Right there at the nape of my neck should be call 'rat-ville' for the nest that is created. Ouch!

Yum num num num.... This drink is positively delicious. Perfect for any type of party. Refreshing yet not too light. Just delish. This recipe makes one large pitcher, as seen above, but can easily be doubled or tripled to create a huge party batch. Enjoy!

      What a feeding frenzy! Between her and the ducks our bits of bread didn't last more than 5 minutes.    Why so serious?! These two. I just can't get enough. Such a special bond between a father and his son. I really couldn't ask for a better father to my children. Ok so this DIY is a total rip off of my DIY Faux 'Beaded' Indian Beaded Bracelet, same concept just applied differently...I guess I am just flattering myself by copying it :) So this whole husband working nights has really freed up some time for me. I needed to update my summer wardrobe and didn't want to spend much $$$. I was at good ol' Wally Mart doing some shopping and spotted these plain tanks on sale of $3. Three bucks!  This is how all tutorials should be. It is easy peasy and super inexpensive. It took me all of five minutes! Which was perfect for my because little one numero uno was extra clingy and the big guy in my tum was kicking the bejeeze out of me.  I have seen this tutorial on the web before, but I wanted to give it a go myself! Watches similar to these are at anthropologie and other $$$ stores. Just cementing my love hate relationships with anthropologie... I love ya but hate ya prices! Nothing new there!
My biggest tip for this tutorial and ones similar is to scrounge! Scrounge around your house for unused potential! I was able to make this and other items in my tutorials for free because I simply used items that were laying around ...
One of my favorite flea markets! The Vintage Marketplace happens about 4 times a year located in Rainbow California (right on the edge of San Diego & Temecula county lines) at the Rainbow Oaks park and shopping center. Rolled flowers have quickly become one of my favorite crafts! I see them used absolutely everywhere and they are so very simple to make! Fabric scraps & hot glue is basically all you need!
