If you haven't checked out my DIY anthropologie coffee mugs, perhaps you should! This great DIY (in my humble opinion) was featured on Knock Off Decor. Whooot Whoot! The tutorial shows you a new way to decorate ceramic mugs with sharpie markers. My very own spin on the fad. Thanks for stopping by! A lot is on the agenda for this little craft site. We just got back from a spur of the moment family vacation to play in the snow, and I am currently trying to hang this Moroccan mirror I just diy'd.... Continue reading ...

Is it chilly by you yet? It was here for a hot minute (I guess for a crisp moment), but now we have this darn Santa Ana that blasts us with 80+ degree weather. Wah wah. I know I shouldn't be complaining about the fantastic weather we have here in southern Cali, but I can't help it. I want my sweaters and scarves and boots and cozy nights watching my husband lay naked in front of the fire on a bear skin rug... just kidding ;) but you get my point. All I can think about fashion wise is chunk... Continue reading ...

Feel like fall yet for you? Not quite fall-like here... high eighties with a hot hot breeze. Not really sweater weather either... but I just had to scratch this itch I have had lately for lace. Lace is just so pretty. I love lace in an old-lady-crocheting-doilies-in-her-recliner-with-a-lace-shawl-over-her-shoulders kind of way... not so much the hot-child-in-the-city kind of way. If you catch my drift. So here is my ode to my fellow old lady lace loving sisters... Continue reading ...
How to Wear a Cloche Hat

Fall fashion can be tricky right? I love seeing new styles and trying certain things out, but there is always that one piece/accessory that I reserve for the 'Oh I could never pull that one off' category. This season it is the cloche hat. A little vintage, a little preppy and a whole lot of sass. Right up my alley. The cloche hat made a reappearance last fall season and it seems to be sticking around for a while. But it does look like a difficult accessory to correctly style... at least t... Saw these the other day at Urban Outfitters... Cork LettersCool. Cool... but I bet I can beat that price of $12.00 each... and tweak it so it fits my style. So here we go What you need: A roll of cork. Found it at Hobby Lobby for $9.00... and it is a LARGE roll. Could fit a dictionary's page worth of words on it. Some wood or card board letters, spray adhesive, craft knife, hot glue and some popsicle sticks. Tips & Hints: Pretty simple. Spray the front of the letter with the glue, hold it dow... So this week has been dedicated to updating my summer wardrobe. Yes a little late... but it is Southern California here where it is summer, like, all the time. I was browsing in anthro the other day and I saw these great summer scarves. The $48 price tags are not so great. So bingo bongo make it myself Continue reading ...

Do you love all things chippy & vintage like me? Well if so this quick craft is right up your ally. I am currently obsessed with antique mirrors, but after doing some research I am not impressed with the prices of store bought pieces nor the harsh chemicals used to make them your self. So what to do, what to do.... be creative! I read many tutorials on how to make your own mercury glass and it seemed like I could transfer the basics to create a faux antiqued mirror. So here you go... Enjoy an... Continue reading ...

We are so ready for summer time. I think there will lots of days spent at the beach. Just have to be extra careful with the babes and the sun. Beach bumming it will be. Until then I am trying to cram all my spring & summer time crafts in so I can really enjoy the time with them. I also plan on having a few get togethers at the house and I felt that my entrance isn't so 'grand' these days. So a little diy was in order. Moss Wreaths Anthro Style... Enjoy! What you need: A basic twig wreath. I g... Continue reading ...

Well the baby boy is here and I am in dire need of a new diaper/tote bag. Nothing to fancy. I never really loved any of the diaper bags out there on the market these days. Either to bland or to baby. So where do I go for inspiration? To the anthro website of course! I spotted several hand painted leather/canvas versions and instantly fell in love with them... but not the $300 + price tag. I just knew I could create a cheap fix. So here it goes. This took me a few days to put together. Not bec... Continue reading ...
Home Sneek Peek: Master Bedroom 'Anthro Inspired'
Welcome to our master bedroom! Just a little sneek peek into our little anthropologie inspired love nest. While our room is not huge... it makes up for it in charm. For this little tour I focused on the feature wall of the room. I created this custom wallpaper out of a vintage themed scrapbook paper book. I fell in love with the patterns, maps & images of stamps as soon as I saw them... but alas I am not an avid scrapbooker so how could I justify purchasing such a large amount of scrapbook p... This weekend I went on my bi-weekly expeditions to anthropologie to get inspired and see if there was anything I couldn't live without. Of course I can't possibly live without having absolutely everything in the entire store in my possession. But sadly until I win the lottery or anthro so graciously decides to donate the entire collection to moi... I will have to do without...Boo! But don't worry, I make do. Yes! Anthropologie always gets my creative juices flowing. When I got home still n... Continue reading ...
