Here it is, the last part of the diy hair comb series. Quite a journey eh? We went all across the diy board. From wire wrapped crystals to neon nylon cording to feathers. Even though this is the last post of this series, I assure you that hair combs are here to stay... at least on this noggin anyway. Embellished hair combs have always been in my fashion repertoire and always will be. So I thought it would be fun to share two hair combs of the past. One from my bridal shower and the other fr... DIY Embellished Hair Comb: Part One and Two
I gave myself a mini craft challenge this weekend. A little homework per say. I find that if I get a bogged down with stress or life and I just can't get those creative juices a flowin.. I buckle down and step it up (oh boy...how many cliche sayings did I just fit into that statement???). Any whoser, just like how actors and singers have voice warm ups, we crafters have warm ups too. This was a great mini warm up, as now my creative muscles are are loose and limber. Ready to tackle a few ... Continue reading ...

I love scarves and wear them any chance I can. As soon as there is the slightest crisp to the air I am wrapping that sucker around my neck. Here is my dilemma. I have long hair and if I wear a scarf, especially if it is a chunky knit, my hair soon turns into a tangled mess. Right there at the nape of my neck should be call 'rat-ville' for the nest that is created. Ouch! So
what to do? A sleek little top knot or messy ballerina bun is my go-to.
But that can get a little boring, so here is a... Continue reading ...

Supplies: Piece of unfinished wood, orange craft paint, black puff paint, polyurethane, rag or paint brush, pencil and bowl Steps: 1. Start with an unfinished and clean piece of wood. Mine is about 12" x 24" and 2" thick. A nice solid chunk... Continue reading ...

I mean can you even see my baby spit up shirt under here?! No! The scarf is fine just the way it is, but what girl doesn't want more bli... Continue reading ...
