Her First Butterfly

So exciting to be able to capture her 'firsts'. This was her first butterfly! I was futzing around inside when the hubs ran in and said grab the camera. There they were, engaged in a dance of sort. The butterfly letting Lou with the attitude dangerously close before it flitter and fluttered away. Like a feather on the breeze. But this was a friendly (or hurt) butterfly and fluttered away only so far. Perfect for chasing.

Thought that this special little moment was worth sharing. Hop...

Today was a good day... Beach Day

In order to escape the blazing-hot-surface-of-the-sun-indian-summer we are experiencing here in southern California, we did what any sane family would do and headed to the beach. Visiting Ghosts

This weekend my parents, the babies and I flew up to Portland Oregon to visit my grandmother. She is my one and only grandmother, as my maternal one passed before I could meet her. (That statement makes me sad because from all the stories I hear about Betty Lou, she and I would have been thick as thieves. With our similar tempers, predilections to having flocked wallpaper on the ceiling and a devotion to anything sweet ).
But GM Mary Jane couldn't be sweeter. Exactly what you hope a grandm...
