Lou with the attitude is off to get her first puppy dog with her papa this morning. Exciting yes, but am I ready for this? Two kiddos under three and a puppy dog? I guess so. I know so.  Can we just take a minute to gawk at this tasty creation?!?!? gawk... gawk... still gawking... ok I'm done. Ingredients & Supplies: One large trifle dish. This is optional but seeing the layers is what makes this dish so special. 1/4 cup butter

   I was feeling festive this weekend and decided that our front door needed to be festive as well. So I scrounged around the craft closet to see what I had. To be found were four little canvases, lots of scrapbook paper, paint and some wooden letters that we intended for another project. What is it with me and earrings lately? I guess it is because I want to wear them so badly but can't. Those of you that have babies, or have ever baby-sat know what I am talking about. So here are a few snapshots around the house pre-Halloween. Starting to break out my fall decorations. First pic is of some super cute (and easy to DIY) plush pumpkins. You can find some tuts here, here or here.  Handsome bugger isn't he? I picked him up here.  Is it to early to break out the wheat & pumpkins? When really, is it ok to start decorating for fall? Here in southern California it is hard to tell when fall actually starts.   I'll make sure to do a side by side when this mantel is all done...

Finally we are feeling the fall here in southern California. Yeahhhhhh! Yes! Whoot-whoot! Oh Boooy :) Feel my enthusiasm? No? Well how about another whoopeeeee!  There really is nothing like a handmade card. Such a special little treat when you open up an envelope and you see this little piece of crafty heaven. Someone made it with their own two hands. It is like getting a chunk of the love chocolate bar via the post.

Found myself longing for fall this week. Fall is fabulous don't you think? The weather is just lovely. You can wear coats, scarves, sweaters, boots, leggings and knit caps. Who doesn't love a great pair of boots over leggings with a cozy sweater and scarf?! There are also so many great fall activities like apple picking, pumpkin carving and baking. Not to mention the decorating... oh the decorating! Halloween and Thanksgiving are such fun holidays to decorate for. I already have a huge runnin...
