Life At Home
He wears our babies, and looks damn good doing it. Nuff said Our little owl and her uncle. Uncles are the greatest, aren't they? I have so many fond memories of my favorite uncle. Yes, I said it... favorite. I was like a kid the night before Christmas when I knew he was coming for a visit (It also helps that he was more like a big brother than an Uncle being 19 years my fathers junior). I have a feeling my brother will be Lou's fav. He is her go-to person when we are playing make believe.

Decor Crafts
This was a favorite at our Halloween Party. It was set up at our 'adult' drink table. Beergaritas was our drink of choice. (Our tweaked recipe to follow! Yummy for sure). This DIY is really simple and more of an idea & inspiration for your own Halloween DIYs. Supplies: Piece of unfinished wood, orange craft paint, black puff paint, polyurethane, rag or paint brush, pencil and bowl Steps: 1. Start with an unfinished and clean piece of wood. Mine is about 12" x 24" and 2" thick. A nice solid chunk... Continue reading ...
Hallowen Party Success!
My little muscle man was pooped out before the party even started! Well, the party went off with out a hitch. It was a blast! The kiddos bounced to their little hearts content, decorated dozens of mini pumpkins and ate their weight in candy. I made waaaaay to much food, but hey, leftovers are the best right? And I may have gone overboard with the decorations. Just a little. A smidgen. My only regret is that I wish I took more pics. You all know how it gets before a party. The running around wit... Life At Home
So here are a few snapshots around the house pre-Halloween. Starting to break out my fall decorations. First pic is of some super cute (and easy to DIY) plush pumpkins. You can find some tuts here, here or here. Handsome bugger isn't he? I picked him up here. Is it to early to break out the wheat & pumpkins? When really, is it ok to start decorating for fall? Here in southern California it is hard to tell when fall actually starts. I'll make sure to do a side by side when this mantel is all done... Continue reading ...

Life At Home
Invitations are being sent. Decorations are being put together. Recipes are being researched. I am in complete and total party prep mode. Yes I have a month till the party but I think that half the fun is the prep. Am I alone in this thought and feeling? Probably not. But it seems that I like imposing a little stress on myself. Life has been running a little to smoothly... to peaceful... to serene. Nothing like a party to put you in total manic-panic mode. Why do we do this? Impose deadlines... Continue reading ...

Sooo. I know I promised a DIY stitched envelope tutorial. It is coming. I just had to pick up some thread in a different color. Don't worry it will be worth it.. you will be able to bath in all it's cuteness glory. But mostly I wanted to check in and let you know that this weekend was dedicated to prepping for my Halloween extravaganza. A little early? Yeah I guess so... but I plan on starting a family tradition of a totally awesome blow-your-socks-off Halloween Costume party and I w... Continue reading ...
