Alright ladies. Are you ready to see my tried and true, red blooded American, hill-billy red neck side? A little hick and a whole lotta country. Well, here it is. Yes, that is a colander hanging from my ceiling. Not just one, but three of these cute little suckers now adorn my kitchen. I have been searching and searching for that perfect shade. Something with a lot of personality, a quaint vintage feel and purely me. Who would'a thunk it would be found in the kitchen utensil section of Ta... Continue reading ...

I know the pictures are a tad dark but I really wanted to try and convey the magical (and super feminine) feel of this lampshade. It came out so warm and well, pretty.I picked up those vintage curtains a couple of weeks ago. Aren't those pretty too? Love them, love looking at them, but I am not so fond of the thing hanging in front of them. The fixture over our sink has never been right. It was just something I picked up at Lowe's one day when the hubs told me that his electrician friend was ... Continue reading ...
DIY Kitchen Decor Series: Lettered Kitchen Sign
Love the look of vintage signs like me, but don't want to pay the non-vintage price tag? Make it yourself! I love all the cute kitchen decor that is out there today but I can't see paying a pretty penny for them. They spend their life in the kitchen doomed to get dirty or broken by busy little fingers, so priceless heirlooms are a no go. This DIY is super easy and you are limited only by your imagination. After this I think I will make a whole wall of words like Yummy, Eat Here, Baked Goods ... Continue reading ...

Life At Home
ok so I should have posted this a while ago... as you can see by the fall decorations in some of the pics that this part of the kitchen remodel has been completed for a bit. Actually for more than 6 months it has been like living in a split personality. Literally one wall is done but when you turn around the rest hasn't been touched. Yes living in a partially completed dream kitchen is not only a pain in my rear end but it is mostly a pain in the hubs heiny because I keep changing my dang min... Continue reading ...

DIY Country Kitchen Hello all DIYers. I come to you with fabulous news, well fabulous news for me ;) . We are currently knees deep into my dream country kitchen remodel... antique rustic flooring, farmhouse table, industrial accents and all things chippy and old. I have been dreaming about this for a over a year and am ecstatic that it is now really happening. While most normal (and sane) people dream of stainless steel appliance, granite counter tops and contemporary tile back splashes, I on ... Continue reading ...
Drawing On Ceramic (How to Transfer Lettering)
What a pretty plate right? And it was so easy to do! The is the perfect craft for gift giving. The hubs has been asking for some coffee mugs to bring to work that are not super feminine. What anthropologie tea cups and cafe au latte mugs are not good enough for you!?!?! Oh well I poked around on the internet for the best types of materials to use but it wasn't until I dawdled a Sunday away at Micheal's did I find this super star product! Please read on and I hope you give this one a try.... Continue reading ...
