And by honey I mean me. Here is a look at one of my (many many many.... will the list ever end???) ongoing projects/renovations of mi casa. I got a bug in my ear buzzing that I just gotta refinish our butcherblock countertops... like ah'now. I love our butcherblock, or BB's as I call them, it's just that they have been looking, well, rather icky poo lately. Not that I'm no longer a huge fan of the vintage/antique/rustic/dents & dings look, I just feel that they could look better. kinda meh i... Continue reading ...

In anticipation of our fam's big spring break trip to Chicago I have been DIY'n some new duds like a mo-fo. I have been a'sewing and weaving and knitting and crocheting and plucking peacock feathers and dabbling in some millinery... you know the usual. Yeah right. Let's just stick to the craft I like to call, 'Glueage'. Where one can make designer like ensembles simply by slapping some glue on some stones. Like the Big Baubles top from yesterday. Now that's what I'm talking about. This here D... Continue reading ...

Decor Crafts

If you haven't checked out my DIY anthropologie coffee mugs, perhaps you should! This great DIY (in my humble opinion) was featured on Knock Off Decor. Whooot Whoot! The tutorial shows you a new way to decorate ceramic mugs with sharpie markers. My very own spin on the fad. Thanks for stopping by! A lot is on the agenda for this little craft site. We just got back from a spur of the moment family vacation to play in the snow, and I am currently trying to hang this Moroccan mirror I just diy'd.... Continue reading ...

My post yesterday (diy splatter refashion) was an easy refashion of this must know diy. Enjoy! Couldn't get any simpler. These handy little pouches can be used for so many things. Think make up bag, ipad/kindle travel case, diaper pouch, gift bag, journal cover.... really anything! You can also get really creative with your choice of fabric. Just make sure to choose one that has some weight and stiffness to it otherwise you will have one floppy mess. In case you missed it this was my version of... Continue reading ...

so lately I have really been feeling the Indian beaded bracelet look. Perfect for summer. Free spirited. Just plain cool and they really never go out of style. A classic. What is not so cool is how time consuming they seem to be. Granted I have never tried to make one, they just seem to be time consuming. Plus I don't have any of the supplies required to make them. So here is what I believe to be a clever way to make a faux Indian beaded bracelet. I picked up a pack ... Continue reading ...

Life At Home
Oh baby announcements! Here is my first rendition. I am just having so much fun fiddling with the text and graphics. There are so many great announcements out there that I could choose from, but I really want his personality to show through... yes my two week old has a personality! Such a mellow guy... a lot like his papa. Boy am I blessed! I was so worried that my second baby would be a hellion ( as many other mamas warned me). But no... he is just a peach. Now if he could lend some of his m... Continue reading ...

Hot Air Balloon Paper Lantern
Hot Air Balloon Paper Lantern
My baby boy is almost here! I am so excited to meet him and frankly I am sooooo over being pregnant. We plan on having Lou and the baby share a room while they are little and I currently love how Lou's room is decorated but fact is... it is a little girly. I want to stay far away from the split up 'boy side & 'girl side' feeling that many shared gender rooms have, but I do need to add a few more neutral or 'boy' features to the room. With that being said I came ... Continue reading ...
