DIY Drawer Freshener (Perfume Envelopes)

Posted by Honor on Monday, April 22, 2013, In : Crafter's Toolbox

Anyone else doing some spring cleaning? Anyone? Well we certainly are. Talk 'bout a pain in the rear right?! But it's gotta get done. Our first major task, you ask? To go through our closets and drawers and donate (or get rid of) clothing that is too small, too big (whoot whoot !) or just plain icky (nudge nudge the hubs. I swear if just one of his shirts is w/o a grease stain it's a miracle). Anywhoser, after a long weekend of closet weeding I am ready to freshen up our boudior. How so, you ...

Tools of the Trade: Cut Flower Care

Posted by Honor on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, In : Crafter's Toolbox

There was a blowout sale of the Easter flowers at my local Walmart. A dozen roses for $2 and spring mixes for $1. What a score right?! These flowers above are only the beginning of what looks like a florist exploded in my house. It's not everyday you can snatch up fresh flowers for a steal, so I went a little overboard.... spring has sprung right?

Here is a round up of my favorite tips and tricks for taking care of cut flowers and making them last.

Wood, Nail & String Art Plus Office Peek

Posted by Honor on Friday, January 11, 2013, In : Home Sneek Peek

As I mentioned before, we swapped rooms. Me and my little girl that is. I took over her bedroom for my office and she and her little brother are in the other spare room. It is twice the size and just perfect for two little hooligans to do cartwheels in. As for my 'new' office I decided to leave the paint color and just work with what I have around the house to decorate and style. Boy do I have a lot of stuff. It sure is pretty though. Purging tchotskies is not a strong suit of mine. I am a cl...

and here is how I did it... note: this diy is demonstrated on a different pair of earrings but you will get the gist.

So so so simple...

DIY Boho Leather Feather Earrings

Posted by Honor on Friday, September 21, 2012, In : Accessories
What is it with me and earrings lately? I guess it is because I want to wear them so badly but can't. Those of you that have babies, or have ever baby-sat know what I am talking about. I see dangle-ly ones over here, pretty sparkly ones over there and (my fav) big ol retro hoops on her and her and her! But alas my earlobes can't take the tugging. Oh well! That doesn't mean I stop making them. Someday I will be able to wear earrings for more than 5 minutes. So besides earrings I also hav...

Need to make a gift for anyone? You will also need some earring post/hoops. I love the shape of these earring hangers shown below. They are again from Hobby Lobby for a whopping $2.50... for two p...
