Hey-O! Gotta give props to yourself when you can. My kids are happy,
healthy and clean (most of the time) So for the most part I think I'ma
doing ok. A pat on the back, foot massage, facial, pedicure, voodoo zen relaxation take-5-years-off-my-face treatment is in order. I love being in love with my babies and I know they know that. So a great big hoorah! to my fellow mamas and for everyone with a mama's heart for that matter. You don't have to have literally pushed out a watermelon to be a ... Continue reading ...

DIY Embellished Hair Comb: Parts Five and Six
Sick of hair comb ideas yet? No? Good! Cuz here are two more beauties. Both equally simple and fab. If you haven't yet, make sure to check out parts one/two and three/four.A recap on what I am doing here. At the beginning of the new year I was a bit bogged down reminiscing about sugar plums and faux snow frosted ornaments. In other words I was feeling a bit low because the NY signals the end of my favorite time of the year. My creative juices weren't flowing. They were more like syurp. sooooo... Continue reading ...

DO IT YOURSELF Bookcase Dollhouse A perfect rainy day project. This little old lady of a bookcase was fancified over the weekend. All it took was me dragging out my unbelievably large stash of scrapbook paper, scissors and many glue sticks. Plus # 1: It is free! Go green right? Recycle, reduce and reuse... Plus # 2: The kids can participate. Plus # 3: The finished product is so darn toot'n cute.
Here we go... tricks and tips follow below each picture but this DIY is pretty self explanatory...

Life At Home
What a feeding frenzy! Between her and the ducks our bits of bread didn't last more than 5 minutes. I must say that they were the most aggressive ducks/geese/water fowl I have ever ventured to feed. We are talking swarms here! Even pecked our toes! So I am thinking that maybe Lou with the attitude ate the bread out of self defense. So besides our sore pecked toes and dodging the mass amounts of duck poop, it was a pretty nice little morning for us. Thanks for stopping by! I even caught the culp... Continue reading ...

What is it with me and earrings lately? I guess it is because I want to wear them so badly but can't. Those of you that have babies, or have ever baby-sat know what I am talking about. I see dangle-ly ones over here, pretty sparkly ones over there and (my fav) big ol retro hoops on her and her and her! But alas my earlobes can't take the tugging. Oh well! That doesn't mean I stop making them. Someday I will be able to wear earrings for more than 5 minutes. So besides earrings I also hav... Continue reading ...

Life At Home
So exciting to be able to capture her 'firsts'. This was her first butterfly! I was futzing around inside when the hubs ran in and said grab the camera. There they were, engaged in a dance of sort. The butterfly letting Lou with the attitude dangerously close before it flitter and fluttered away. Like a feather on the breeze. But this was a friendly (or hurt) butterfly and fluttered away only so far. Perfect for chasing. Continue reading ...

Life At Home
In order to escape the blazing-hot-surface-of-the-sun-indian-summer we are experiencing here in southern California, we did what any sane family would do and headed to the beach. It was a great family day. Thought I would share a couple of snapshots. Hope you are having a great weekend. Lots of DIYs scheduled for this week! Thanks for stopping by!

Found myself longing for fall this week. Fall is fabulous don't you think? The weather is just lovely. You can wear coats, scarves, sweaters, boots, leggings and knit caps. Who doesn't love a great pair of boots over leggings with a cozy sweater and scarf?! There are also so many great fall activities like apple picking, pumpkin carving and baking. Not to mention the decorating... oh the decorating! Halloween and Thanksgiving are such fun holidays to decorate for. I already have a huge runnin... Continue reading ...

Life At Home
This weekend my parents, the babies and I flew up to Portland Oregon to visit my grandmother. She is my one and only grandmother, as my maternal one passed before I could meet her. (That statement makes me sad because from all the stories I hear about Betty Lou, she and I would have been thick as thieves. With our similar tempers, predilections to having flocked wallpaper on the ceiling and a devotion to anything sweet ). But GM Mary Jane couldn't be sweeter. Exactly what you hope a grandm... Life At Home
Follow my blog with Bloglovin Here is Lou with the attitude's newest gift from her father. Yes it is a tractor... of course it is a John Deere.
It is much to much to big for her, I don't think her feet even reach the pedals. But that doesn't mean good habits can't begin. So while her father gave his big rig a wash she took it upon herself to give her green goodie a good ol scrub down. All by her little self. I asked if she wanted help... but that just got a big 'No!' and my jeans being... Continue reading ...

Life At Home
We all have adventures... some bigger than others. It is so easy to forget how it was when we were little, where EVERYTHING was an adventure. Going to the store, birthday parties, school, tree swings, parades and of course bath time.... all little adventures that shape our personalities as well as our past. As a mom I try to remember not to sweat the little things. Clothes will get dirty, milk will get spilled, vases will get broken and we will be late. But more importantly I try and focus ... This post has been sponsored by Craigslist (not really), but it is definitely a testament to the awesomeness of CL.
While mama bear was at a neighbors baby shower this weekend the hubs was on Lou with the attitude entertainment duty. I thought there would be some playtime in the kiddy pool or perhaps some sandbox castle building...
umm no. Not with my husband. He don't work that way.
I should have known. His eyes are permanently glued to CL always on the look out for a screaming deal for cars/t... Continue reading ...

Friday Finish Line: Last Minute DIY Mother's Day Gifts
Well I decided to take a little 'mini vacay' and enjoy some time gardening with my to little buggers. Thought I could get a lot done planning some DIYs but alas life as a mama of two is very distracting. I got lots of reading of story books, bath times and snacks made but little work done. Oh well. Not much will get done this weekend either because it is good ol mom's day and I will try to relax. Yeah right! Please enjoy this selection on handmade mother's day gifts. Perhaps I will give a coup... Continue reading ...
