In The Market For: Vintage Looking Sofas

Via Home Decorators

Sometimes you just can’t DIY. Yeah…I don’t think I’m crafty enough to conjure up enough magical potions to presto change-o some old wood pallets into a sturdy and stylish sofa. Nope. Not even gonna try.

So if I can’t DIY my other tactic is usually to buy vintage…aka used…aka salvaged. Or also… not perfect. Don’t get me wrong, I love our jolly green giant and I scored for only $150.

But with two bouncing babies, a dog and a husband that won’t take his boots off and falls asleep on it all the time… it is definitely showing some (ok A LOT) of age. The legs are popping off, the center is collapsing and some cushion covers are splitting. Yep. It’s time to send the mile-long davenport out to AmVets pasture.

So what does that mean????

SHOPPINGGGGG!

Weeeeeee! And this mama does love a good shopping expedition. New doesn’t have to mean without character. My love of vintage will never cease, but I think it’s time I have something that I know will last more than a year… and perhaps also has a warranty 😉

So here are a few of my vintage-inspired finds that I searched all over google land for. Basically, I love anything Chesterfield-inspired. Think lots of tufting, tight back, single-seat cushion, exposed turned wood feet and rolled arms…..

The Gordon Tufted Sofa for Home Decorators $999 to $1149

I love both the chocolate brown leather and Belgian linen. Beautiful!

Another from Home Decorators…

The Custom Greenwich Tufted Sofa $1299

The tufting rolled arms and tall feet are just vintage-inspired gorgeousness

Urban Ourfitter’s Ava Velvet Tufted Sleeper $749

A sleeper is always a good idea…

West Elm’s Chester Tufted Sofa. $1,099 to $1,399

Tons of fun colors to choose from. Like Poppy and sunshine yellow!

Ballard Designs Eton Sofa $1,499 +

So so so many fabric choices to choose from! Plus those rolled arms are beautiful!

Jerome’s Karla Sofa- $999

ok… totally off the decorating topic and definitely doesn’t go with my decor, but I’m just loving that blue velvet!

Hummm. Now I think it’s time to hit the pavement and ogle these beauties in person…

Thanks for stopping by!
