Just a little sneak peek into our end of summer life. It has been a whirl wind and then not, like a tornado then like an Alaskan glaicer, like zip zoom zow then moooovvviiiinnngggg rrrreeeaaalllyyyy sssslllloooowwwlllyyyy..... know what I mean? When you are in the moment life seems to be dripping by so slowly like pouring cold honey, but then you blink and it's like what the hey? Where did August go? Well that's what I been feeling.

What I have been doing is a whole lotta rearranging. The living room is now the family room and the media room is now the living room and the kitchen is now the bathroom and the bathroom is now the patio and the patio is now the day spa.... ha ha. Not really. But I have been sprucing up the some spaces in anticipation of how we live during the fall/winter. Even though our weather is very mild and our winter is like a summer day to most, I find that we do live in our house differently and use our spaces differently. During the summer I find that we spread out and the kids attack all corners of the house, but during the fall/winter we all tend to group together in the kitchen/great room. We hunker down and do corn husk crafts drinking hot coco and listen to bluesy big band music. Ha I wish! That is how I envision it, but really the kids are in and out of the cabinets cheerios are flying everywhere and I am corralling them away like a soccer goalie from the oven as I try and attempt at least one cookie making session without eating 90% of the dough before it even hits the sheet ;). I have some pics and diys about rearranging coming up....

I swear it goes faster and faster with each child. This one is probably going to come out singing and dancing for as quickly as this little man is moving and shaking ^^^^ My little booger man. I just melt when I'm with him. Which is all the time. So pretty much I am a big tub or sentimental goo. Now his favorite thing (and mine too!) is to reach out and give me a big ol bear hug and make smoochie faces/sounds at me while he is sitting in the seat of the grocery cart. I about fall apart when he does that.

I am loving my haircut! I don't know why I put it off.... for like ever! I have been playing with it like mad experimenting with all sorts of dos. From curls to braids and buns (mini ones). It has been a hair adventure. I will share some musings soon.

Now this child... this child ^^^^^^^^ Oh myyyyyyy my my. She found some fake blood gel (from where I have no idea!) and decided to paint her toes with it. The she and her brother were bickering about something and she started to cry. I rushed in to find this massacre at her feet. Needless to say I was a little shocked. More like I went into panic mode thinking 'AHHHHHHHHH!!!! How in the same H did she chop off her toes? Where are they? We got to get her to the emergency room stat so there is a possibility that she can regain motion'
Over react much?
Yeah....

Creepy right? Did you know that???!!! That scorpions glow under black light? You can literally get these black light flash lights, stroll outside at night with them and find these creepy crawlies all over the place. Are they hiding under rocks and such? No! The are right there by your big toe just hanging out on the garden path. AHHHHHH again! Cool but AHHHHH!

One more little anecdote to share from these past weeks. I was out doing a few quick errands while the hubs watched to kids at home. I went to all my usually places... grocery store, bank ect ect ect. And I spoke to all of my favorite checkers. My conversation went like this.

Me: "Oh Hi so and so, how is your mom doing? Did she find a new place yet? (or some other personal tidbit that we have gotten to taking about in the past)

Checker: Stunned look on their face, mouth open about to say Who in the same H are you and how do you know about my mama.....then wait for it.... "Oh Hi Honor! It took me a second! I didn't recognize you with out your kids!"

....

I now have become The Mom. No longer Honor the hot blonde, no longer Honor the student, or classmate, or co worker or anything....

Anyone else experienced something like this? It was all kinds of surreal. I didn't realize I was just an accessory for these adorable mini me's.. That's what they are supposed to be right??? Mini ME's!!!!!

Ah oh well....

Thanks for stopping by!
