It's tour town around these parts! Don't know why, but I've been on a major cleaning, styling and staging kick lately and I thought I would share the fruits of my labor. Honestly I thought a third child would be the end of my housekeeping days, but actually, to mine and my husband's amusement/joy/pleasure, my cleaning/organizing/domestic engineering setting has been set on overdrive. I'm pinning cleaning tips, ripping out organization articles and basically throwing myself wholeheartedly at being Suzy homemaker. I barely recognize myself! I guess this is my way of holding it together. If I can keep that kitchen sink clean, then I don't feel like I'm hanging on by a thread.... some days that feeling is inevitable though.
Ok... back to the task at hand, a tour of Lou's big girl room which doubles as a guest room. I love this sea foam pearl by Behr paints and think I'll always have it. This room is so calming and light. I just love it and I hope she does too!

Pages from a vintage children's book matted on burlap and framed in some thrift store gilt spray painted frames.

I have this huge collection of vintage quilts yet no way of displaying them.... yet. I'm on the constant look out for ideas, but for now I just simply tacked up this one ion Lou's room because the colors match perfectly.

Over her bed I used construction adhesive and attached three ceiling medallions and painted them the same color of the wall. Then I took a metal shelf from home goods and hung it upside down with gray sparkly fabric draping down.

All the bedding is by Jonathan Adler Happy Chic for Home Goods. So happy... and so chic!

My gold glitter spray painted lamp... check out the tutorial here

An ever rotating display of Lou's baby clothes that I can't bear to part with.

Check out my tutorial on how to make this paper lantern hot air balloons

A coffee filter lampshade. So easy to make and so romantic!

My pretty girl. Love her. So much. So very very much. I really hope this room makes her as happy as it does me.

Thank you for stopping by!
