The Big Chop

Posted by Honor on Thursday, August 29, 2013, In : Life At Home
Well..... I did it. I chopped off all my hairs. It only took me 27 years to work up enough courage to do it (first year doesn't count as I was a baldy).

Wait before you all yell and scream at me 'Why???? But WHYYYYY!!!!!!?????'.... (as my husband may or may not of done).... I have been WANTING to do this for years. Really, years. But change is kinda scary right?! But good. But scary.

So blame it on the pregnancy hormones. My violent heat flashes. Hours spent on pinterest looking at this

DIY Perfect High Pony & How to Capture Bangs

Posted by Honor on Thursday, July 4, 2013, In : Beauty

Alright, you caught me. I'm a mom. And with that comes lots and lots of 'mom-ism'. Mom sayings, mom humor and yes the mom uniform. For me? It's a plain shirt, jeans and a cardi with my hair in either a high pony or messy top knot. I do love a good pony. But alas alas I seem to always be struggling with my bangs. Do I keep em? Do I trim em? Grow em out? What to do what to do. Well, nothing over night can be done, so I guess I just have to figure out a way to deal with them. Up until recently...

Previously I had picked up these super cute rhinestone bow buttons ^^^ intending to use them on another project, but ya know how that goes... it didn't 'go', so these purdy little pretties sat stashed away. All sad and lonely. But ahHA no more, no more! Here are the deets. You will need to pick up a pack of the hair pins with a fla...

Even though this is the last post of this series, I assure you that hair combs are here to stay... at least on this noggin anyway. Embellished hair combs have always been in my fashion repertoire and always will be. So I thought it would be fun to share two hair combs of the past. One from my bridal shower and the other fr...

Posted by Honor on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, In : Crafter's Toolbox

I gave myself a mini craft challenge this weekend. A little homework per say. I find that if I get a bogged down with stress or life and I just can't get those creative juices a flowin.. I  buckle down and step it up (oh many cliche sayings did I just fit into that statement???). Any whoser,  just like how actors and singers have voice warm ups, we crafters have warm ups too. This was a great mini warm up, as now my creative muscles are are loose and limber. Ready to tackle a few ...

DIY Simple Ribbon Headband

Posted by Honor on Thursday, November 1, 2012, In : Accessories
I love scarves and wear them any chance I can. As soon as there is the slightest crisp to the air I am wrapping that sucker around my neck. Here is my dilemma. I have long hair and if I wear a scarf, especially if it is a chunky knit, my hair soon turns into a tangled mess. Right there at the nape of my neck should be call 'rat-ville' for the nest that is created. Ouch!
So what to do? A sleek little top knot or messy ballerina bun is my go-to. But that can get a little boring, so here is a...
